the

experience

GETTING READY You get up, have some food – very important – and a shower – equally as important – and then get ready for your big day with your nearest and dearest.

If you want me there, I’ll be with you approximately an hour before you leave for the ceremony.

I’ll be hiding behind various pieces of furniture and flower pots. If you are not quite sure about those ‘getting ready’ photos, check out the following blog post to help you decide: ‘Getting Ready Photos: Yes or No‘.

CEREMONY If you want me to start the coverage just before the ceremony, no problem.

You both say ‘I do’ and can’t believe how quickly it went! You didn’t even realise that I was there!

GROUP SHOTS are not mandatory. It’s your day, your way.

If you promised your mum that she would get a few, no problem. They will be informal and won’t take too long as I know that everyone is cold/ hot/ thirsty/ hungry.

COUPLE SHOTS Fear not! There won’t be any formal posing. I like to document real moments and I do my best to make you feel comfortable.

If you guys like to hang out together, great! Your photos will reflect your relationship and look super natural. If not, then, you might want to re-think this whole wedding ‘thing’…

Still worried? Honestly, there is nothing to be afraid of, certainly not me. The whole experience is painless and thoroughly enjoyable. We’ll go through this when we have a chat before the wedding anyway.

PARTY You let your hair down and have the best time. I’ll capture moments that you missed and others that you don’t remember.

The dancing is one of my favourite parts of the day. If you give me an hour and some light – remember I don’t use a flash – I’ll capture some great shots. If however you decide to show your best moves on a pitch black dancefloor, you’ll find me sobbing on the toilet floor.

your

questions

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I am based in Muswell Hill, North London. I love London weddings so much that I only shoot weddings in this great city.

You work alone so what are the restrictions?

If you want ‘getting ready’ pictures of both parties, this will require some strategic planning.
Also, for larger weddings you won’t be getting pictures of every single one of your guests. If that is important to you, you might want to hire a photo booth.

Do you deliver RAW files?

I do not give out or sell RAW files. Every photo you receive will be edited to ensure consistency with my own post-processing style. You will receive High Resolution jpeg files perfect for printing or viewing on screens.

You don't use a flash so what are the restrictions?

Indoor group shots might be tricky and large group shots may be impossible. Although I am used to shooting in low light conditions, I cannot shoot parties in pitch black. I do need some kind of light source. Colourful spot lights are great, however laser beams or just a disco ball do not work.

Do you visit the wedding venues before the wedding day?

For London weddings I usually go scout the venue(s) for photogenic portraits locations a few days before the wedding.

Do you deliver photos in colour and in black and white?

In general yes, some of your photos will be processed in black and white. However if all the photos look fantastic in colour, they will remain in colour.

Do you deliver all the photos? Can we choose our photos?

No. I will carefully select the best photos and tell the story of your day in 400+ pictures for a whole day coverage.

What rights do we have?

You have all rights to print and use your photos for personal purposes. You may share your photos with family and friends but not with suppliers. Suppliers must contact me directly if they want to use my work.
When sharing photos on social media, please do credit me. Thank you.

How are you going to use our photos?

Some of your photos will be added to my  portfolio and/or a blog post and also shared on social media and my google business page.
I might use some of these to showcase my best work to prospective couples on wedding blogs and directories.
I might also make a gallery with no more than a hundred pictures on my website.

What is your turnaround time?

Normally 4 weeks. During peak wedding season, it can go up to 8 weeks.

Are you insured?

Yes I am.

What happens if you get ill or can't make it?

I am a member of two UK wedding photographer networks and I would do my best to find a suitable replacement.

Will you require a meal at the reception?

If you want me to stay throughout the reception, then, yes please, so I can recharge without missing any of the action! You don’t need to include me in your table plan though, unless you want to. I love chatting with guests but I’m equally happy chilling out in a quiet corner.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Not as standard. I much prefer the excitement of the portrait session on the actual wedding day.

Do you offer albums and photo books?

I only offer a contemporary photo book which can be ordered as an extra.
