A London micro wedding with a ceremony in the Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall and a super relaxed home reception in Bethnal Green, East London.

“These photos are amazing! You have blown us all away! You captured so much detail and the spirit of the day. It was such a pleasure to have you as a photographer. We will be sure to give you rave reviews! We really don’t know how to thank you enough.”
Marissa & David

Here’s how Marissa described her tiny wedding plans in her first email to me:
“I really like your work and style. My partner and I are getting married on 16th May at Islington Town Hall. We have 14 guests. We are having an informal reception at my partner’s aunt’s house in Bethnal Green afterwards.”
After our initial video call, I was sure that we would be a good match.

Originally, Marissa and David wanted the photographic coverage to start with the ceremony at the Registry Office. Now that they have seen their photos, they are glad they changed their minds.
Marissa’s family had come from overseas especially for the occasion. Since they were all staying together, I suggested it would be a good idea to start with some ‘getting ready’ photos.
It would have been such a shame to miss all those great moments!

Home reception in Bethnal Green, East London
The couple managed to keep costs down by having a beautiful home reception. However, they had hired a chef for the occasion.

Soon after the food was served, I left for the day. My only regret was that Marissa and David did not have the budget for me to stay longer.
The family was going to sing and play some live music later on. It would have been worth capturing those precious moments.
