“Hello Barbara!
My name is Beck and I’m writing to see if you are available for a full day of photography for our wedding on 14th September. Ana and I will be having a small civil ceremony in the afternoon in the Garden Room at the Southwark Registry Office with only 20 close friends and family. Most of them will be flying from overseas for the occasion. Then our wedding party will be at the Swan Bar & Restaurant next to the Globe theatre on the South Bank.”

“Ana and I will be arriving separately at the Registry Office and would love to have a ‘first look’ moment before meeting our guests. Regarding the ceremony itself, we’re planning on writing personal wows. Also, our witnesses will be handing out our rings to us.
Before the confetti shots, we’ve been told we’ll have some time for a few group photos in the garden.
Swan at the Globe Wedding Party
We’ve booked the Balcony Room at the Swan for our wedding party (we love the riverside location and the views from the balcony). There won’t be any sit down meal as we want to keep things informal. We’re expecting about 80 people for some drinks, nibbles, cake, speeches and lots of dancing and mingling.
We’ve hired a photobooth and a great DJ to make sure everyone has fun.”
Fun, Relaxed Wedding Photography
“We’ll be getting ready separately so we won’t be needing any ‘getting ready’ pictures. We’d love to have some ‘first look’ photos, though, if possible. Also, before we join our guests for the evening party, we’d like to go for a stroll around Bermondsey Street and the surrounding area. It’s a special place for us (where we had our first dates) and we’d love to have some natural couple photos there.
At the Swan, there will be a couple of speeches which should be a good opportunity for great photos. We’ll also have a cake cutting and a first dance which are important moments to us.
Regarding the lighting, we’re aware that you don’t use a flash but that won’t be an issue as the venue can provide uplighters for the party.
In general, we’d like our wedding photos to focus on all our guests and also capture the mood of the day and the joy of the celebration. Your relaxed approach and informal style are exactly what we’re looking for, especially as I worry about being the centre of attention.”
