Round Chapel Wedding

A fun gay wedding at the Round Chapel in Clapton. Complete with live music and a MASSIVE PARTY! Definitely one of the most fun weddings I have shot!

Here is the initial message I received from Robin:

“Would love to chat to you about our wedding on the 17th September. It is a gay wedding at the Round Chapel in Hackney, and we want a creative photographer who can help us capture the essence of the day.

Round Chapel Wedding plans

“We’re going to stay at the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. We’re not interested in having any ‘getting ready’ photos, however it would be great if you could come and meet us there for some casual couple shots.

We’ll have both our marriage ceremony and our party at the Round Chapel. It’s a large venue in Clapton with lots of natural light but we’ve hired some lighting people to make it look even more photogenic.

The wedding will be big but informal – 200 people, smart casual dress code, lots of food and loud live music! The party will kick off right after the ceremony with some Jewish dancing. There will be some speeches in between the band’s sets.”

I very much liked the sound of Robin and Paul’s fun wedding plans. As an alternative wedding photographer who loves to shoot same-sex weddings, it was just my type of weddings: a laid back couple, a great venue in East London and a great party!
