The Harry Potter wedding plans

“We really like your work as a wedding photographer! We’re getting married at 1pm on 21st October in a pub in Mill Hill called the Adam & Eve.

It’s going to be a lesbian Jewish wedding. The reception will have a Harry Potter theme as we’re both huge fans… It will be quite a small wedding, with around 40 guests during the ceremony, and some more later on in the day. We’re from Canada and The Netherlands so a lot of our guests will have travelled quite a way to be there with us, and so we want to make sure everyone will have the best time!”

Wedding photography

From our first chat, it was obvious that Emily and Renee were very excited about their big day and had put a lot of thought and effort into the planning of it. They want the day to be fun and relaxed for everyone. And they wanted their wedding photos to reflect that. They didn’t want any ‘getting ready’ pictures as it was more important to them that I took the time to photograph all the Harry Potter details.

I was super excited to shoot a unique lesbian wedding.

The day after the wedding

As you know, Renee and I are terrible at having photos taken of the two of us because we always get so uncomfortable around cameras but honestly you put us totally at ease and I didn’t feel self conscious once! Everyone was amazed at how you were able to work around the room taking photos without ever making anyone feel put on the spot. It was exactly exactly exactly what we wanted and we can’t thank you enough.’
